The Christmas holiday is coming.

I can't wait to go skiing.

All of my family are waiting. 

Waiting for my brother who is still sleeping.

I believe this vacation will be interesting.

Plan for winter break

Two more days then it will be winter break, I can’t wait for it anymore because this vacation I am going back to Taiwan.

As an international student, going back home is not an easy thing to do. We didn’t like other day students or those people who live in United State can go back their home whenever they want. For us we need to sit on a little seat for 14 hours, think about that, almost half day you will be ask to sit in that small seat with no internet and no place for you to exercise. It might sound very crazy for most of the people, but for the international students this is the only way for us to go back home.

Lots of things I can do when I go back to Taiwan. First thing I’m going to do is eat a lot of foods, because in the United State there only have one Chinese resterant near by Cheshire Academy. If I want to eat Chinese food we can only order from that resterant, but later on we start to get tired on the food at that resterant. However, if I am in Taiwan. I can try any types of Chinese food I want as long I bring enough money with me. Maybe today’s special is spicy Sichuan food, and tomorrow I can have a tradition Taiwan food...etc.

Beside the food, one point that I’m excited about is my friends. When I go back they probably still need to go to school, but I can ask them out during weekend. Friends could be the second most important relationship beside family. During this winter break, I can go visit those friends that already long time no see. I would also like to visit some of my teachers. Every teacher for me are important, because of what they teach me so I would able to come to United State study. I might want to bring some gifts to my teacher, maybe a small model of the “The statue of Liberty” will be nice!

Last but not least, my family. They are the closest people I have in this world. Especially my parents, because they work very hard so that they will able to pay my tuition. As we can know a tuition for an international student is very expensive. It is like 2 to 3 times a normal American student did. This is why I can’t wait to see them, also my brothers. This trip I probably can’t see the oldest brother but I do can see the second one. When I was small he teach me a lot of things that I might face in the future. Such as how to select a college, or what should I do if my credit card happen something...etc.

These probably will be what am I going to do over the winter break. Each plan for me are important and necessary.(Especially the food one!) At here I hope every people can have a safe trip when they back home and enjoy your vacation!

BLACK FRIDAY DISCOUNT

I had done lots of things over the thanksgiving break, one of my favorite things was shopping. As we can know, during the thanksgiving break there are lots of discounts with almost every type of product, such as electricity, clothes, shoes...etc. This mean I can buy a lot of products with very low price, especially on Black Friday. I am not sure what happen on black Friday or where did it came from, but one thing I know about is on that day almost every store will have a huge discount on their product. That day I believe will be a glory day for my wallet.

The day before Black Friday, me and my friends were discuses about the plan for the shopping road, like where should we go first, then we should go there...etc. We were live at a hotel that near to Time Square so it was very convenient for us to shop. After we done for the road, we decide to go bed early because we want to get up at 5:00 in the morning so there won’t be a lot of people in the store.

Finally, the day we waiting had come. Both of us got up on time and ready to go to the first store. It was very chill that day, I remember the temperature was something like - 8 degrees Celsius. Although the whether was very bad, we still walk to the store because nothing can stop us. When we got to the store, I told my friend “WOW! I thought there will be a lot of people over here, but seems like everyone is still sleeping.” He agree with me because there really only have few people were like us who wake up that early to shop. However, that doesn't matter because this mean we can buy things with very low price and no need to wait in line.

I will say Black Friday was the highlight for my thanksgiving break, because there were too many good stuff I want and all of them were in very low price. On that day we first went to Macy’s which was the biggest one in the United State. Then we went to other store that near around Macy’s, such as Zara, Uniqlo, H&M...etc. I did bought a lot of stuff at each story, and everything I bought none of them was over 100 dollars. I remember the biggest discount I got was a trench coat from Zara. The original price for that coat was about 180 dollars, and it have 50% off so it only cost me 90 dollars. Could you imagine that, 90 dollars for that coat was gone. That was incredible huge discount you can got, my parents was also surprise with that huge discount. I think this is maybe why my parents always ask me to bring stuff back from here.

The Black Friday was one of my highlight for my thanksgiving break, and I really enjoy in it. I hope that one day not only United State, every countries can have this kind of day so that people can know what is it feel to have a BLACK FRIDAY DISCOUNT!

The way he wrote his blog is very interesting because I notice that at the beginning of every blog post he use a question to start it. It might be a random question or a question that he have for people. After he ask the question, he will answer the question and tell the reader his opinion about this question. The interesting part is after he answer the question, there will be another question came out from that answer. He will continue the cycle until the end, and he won't tell you the answer about last question. He might leave the answer or unfinished statement for reader to think about. I think this is very interesting and useful technique for people to end their writing. This is what I found form Mark Kurlansky writing.

My Secret Friends! (Final)

Everyday when I go back to my dorm, I can sit on my comfortable chair and enjoy my wonderful free time. During my free time, I like to spend 10 minutes to watch what kind of things are around me. First, on the right side are my hats, they are like two little kids who keeps watching me. From their eyes it looks like they are asking me to bring them out of the room because they do not want to stay in this dark place anymore. Next to my hats is my table lamp. It always being a best helper when I need to work, which help me to illuminate my table when the light is not enough. This will help my short-sightedness avoid to become more terrible. Many different kind of flavor Snapple located under my desk and sit comfortably. These are the main reason where my everyday energy come from. Without them giving me energy, when people see me I probably will be very exhausted and won't able to be a good student in the class for whole day; like a walking dead. My daily necessities standing on the shelf and watching at me all the time. They are like my own personal guards during study hall. Their job is to check whether am I doing my homework properly or not during the study hall. Thanks for what they do so I can finish my homework before light out, and this mean I can go to bed on time and no need to stay up late. Don't forget the big guy - desk, the strongest person I ever see in my room. It can carry tons of books and tool on itself and never say he is tired. I can't imagine how can I do my work without it, it is just like my best work carrier. At the right side of the desk is an old wardrobe. From it outside did seems like stay for long time already, but inside of it heart is acatually a yong boy like us. It like to dress itself up with my clothes when I am not in my room, but I need to say that sometimes it did look good when he dress my clothes. On the other side of the desk is my bed. It is one of my best friends, or I should say my love in my dorm. Whenever I need a rest or feel uncomfortable, it will let me lay on it body and help me to relax. It also take good care on me when I was sick, and this is why I can get rid of flu with short period of time when I get it. Oh! I forgot one of my old friends computer. It is like my second teacher in the school or at dorm. When there is a problem or question that I don’t understand, I can just ask it and it will tell me the answer in 10 seconds. It makes my life become easier and help me to learn new things that I never know before. All of these friends make my life become more interesting and convenient. Everything do their own job and have different effects with my life. Without one of them my life will be not as comfortable as before, and this is why I am so glad to have all of them around me in my dorm whenever I need them!

1. Comparison of my Bottle - Sophia. I think it is a really good writing because she did explain in detail about the different between two bottles. I hope she can have more vivid language and maybe reorganize the paragraph so the reader are able to understand which bottle she is talking about.

2. Walk among dream and truth - Leo. I like the way he describe the background. It is just like I'm also in that place when I read his story. Maybe instead of repeat I this word, he can use some transition or other vivd language in his writing. This will defiantly help his writing become better.

3. Somewhere safe - Nina. It is really interesting because she observed under her desk, which no one did it in our class. This is why I'm interesting about her writing, and use more vivid language will help her writing become more interesting and the reader will able to feel confidence about sitting under their desk.

Little world around us

In this world, the life that people have is very short. This is why people have their life very busy, and people want everything be done in short period and complete. Due to this kind of lifestyle, a lot of time people will ignore some thing or some place and even more they will forget about it.

I am a person who didn’t like deail, so I always ignore lots of materials that surround me. My wardrobe would be a good example of it. This is a place that people will go everyday for dressing them up. However, people probably already forget what is it inside look like, but sometimes you might found out inside there might have some suprise you never expect.

My wardrobe is like another world, because whenever I need to find one clothes or pants in there. It is just like seeking for a treasure, which is very difficult. My clothes are like the traps that I can’t touch, and my pants are the vine that try to stop me to go forward.

This is just like a small adventure for me everyday, I will never know what can I found in my wordrobe. I can found what I need for they day, or maybe found some clothes that I already forget in there for long time.

This will also decide whether I will be happy or not for the following up hours. If I can found what I need in short period of time, then I would be happy and being positive to go to class. In the other hand, if I spend twenty minutes to find my sock, I probably will in a bad mood and thinking about where the hack is my sock goes? It seems like is a small thing in my life and nothing important,  but it did have a huge effect on my day.

I enjoy in the process of finding my clothes since I came to United State, before I came I even didn’t have my own wardrobe because I don’t have my own room. This cause me think that wardrobe is nothing special and boring. Then I know I am wrong, because now I realize that it is actually an interesting place. Now it is just become part of my life that I can’t live without.

This is just something small that I want to share with you guys. The purpose is not whether I am happy or not, nor where is my another sock go? The main point is sometimes people should stop and have a rest during their life, maybe have a cup of coffee and enjoy what they have around them will be good.

Just like what I said in front, the life that people have is short. We need to enjoy every moments we have, no matter is it happy or not. This would make your life become better and you might found out that lots of place that you have ignore is such a beautiful or interesting place.

Hot pot, the most beautiful food in the world!

One of my favorite food that I had over thanksgiving break is hot pot. It was a pot fill with clear soup, and what we need to do is put what we want to eat into the pot. The color of the pot was colorful, because it was fill with different kinds of food. For example, green represent vegetables, red represent every kind of meat, and white represent the noodle...etc. The smell of hot pot was very good, think about the smell of meat, vegetable, and noodle when they cooked in the same time. That smell was like the gift of God, which make people unbelievable. After the smell of hot pot, it was time for the sound. The sound of hot pot is not really special because it was just like boiled water. However, the thing that got boiled was not water, it was the soup in the pot. Especially when you hungry, it was just like the sound of angle. Every thought in your mind will all gone, because the only thing you could think of was the pot in front of you. Last but not least, the taste of the hot pot. I wasn't sure whether people will love the taste of it? For me, the answer will be are you kidding me? Of course I loved it. The taste of it was very great, it was like the food in your mouth was playing a symphony, beautiful and impressive. Now I believe you have some idea about hot pot, but this is not enough. Only try it once in your life, or otherwise you will never know how great it will be!

Is it a ? No, it is a ?

People use their body to feel and learn new things from their body. However, there are lots of poeple who lose part of their body or the ability that they have. This make them become more difficult to learn or to know what kind of thing in front of them. This is why I want to do this activity, I ask one of my friend give me random objects and I need to describe it by only touch it. The first thing in my hand is a little bit strange, because one side of it is very soft, but another side is very hard and a little bit sharp. It is very flexible because I can bend it whatever I want, but it will become its original shape at the end. Then I know what is it, it is a sponge, because one side is soft for soap and another is for brush the bowl. Then I close my eyes again, because second object is coming. Second object is very cold, it seems like made of iron. It is in a long shape and one part of it can turn in 360 degree. At the one side of it is very sharp, just like a small scissors. Then I found out the part that can turn 360 degree can flip upside down, and can be press down. I know what is it now, it is a nail scissor. From this activity I know how blind people feel and how hard is it. If I never saw these objects before I probably won’t able to answer my friend what it is. I hope one day the world could invent a technology that can help those blind people to know what the world actually looks like, because in a world with only dark is somewhere I don’t want to live in.
