A letter to Joanna

Dear Joanna 

You probably don't know who I am but I know who you are. I really respect you because of your love of daughter. 

In this world, most hardworking people are not people who worked, or people who earn money, they are mother. They don't have time to rest, the need to take care of their children for 365 days. They worked for no money, and they didn't ask for anything back. You are just like one of them, but you are much greater than them. You divorce with you husband because he cheat on you. You didn't be sad of that and raise your daughter by yourself, although you almost give up to take care of here, but you think that it is not fear to happen this kind of things on here. From here, I know the grateful of the mother love. Thanks you for showing people how should a mother look like, and give hope to every single mother.  

What is a creative writing?

Creative writing is a type of writing that didn’t care about the format and thesis. This type of writing usually used in a fiction story. There aren’t a lot of rule about the creative writing, the auther can write whatever they want in the story. I really like creative writing because of some reason.

One of the biggest reason I like creative writing is becasue the plot. You will never read two story that have similar plot because everyone’s thinking are different than each other. This make me can read different kind of story every time. Today maybe is a story about a little boy adventure, and tomorrow I probably will read a story about teenager love story. You will never know what will happen in a creative story until you read it. This is why I like the surprise that the creative writing give us.

Beside the plot, I also think the format of the creative writing make my interested. In a creative writing, you don’t need to care about how many body paragraph you should have or how is the hook in your writing...etc. You just need to write down what you have come up in your mind. No format restrict or any topic only, it is all about your world.

When I start with my art work creative writing, I can’t think of anything about this painting. It is a painting about a old man and his guitar, how could it be a story about it. After thinking few minutes, I think of that I can write about what happen to the old man and why he will become like now.

In my story, I put some plot that people will like to watch. Such as love story, or scene that friends betray you...etc. These are the story that people like to see, which is the most touching story. People like to see about poor people’s story, not because they like to see someone is having bad life. It is because humanity will force people to watch it and let them unforget about the story.

Not only the plot I wrote will let people want to read, also it is unique. Just like what I said before, creative writing are usually special and there are only one of it. This story is come out from my mind, I don’t think that there is another story that is same as mine. People could have different feeling when they read my story, they probably will think this is new and special becasue this is a story that they never read before. I think this could be one of the point that make my story become interesting for people.

I think these are the point that I do success on my creative writing, but there are more things that I can work more on. Such as the detail part in the story, I didn’t have very detail middle story, which could make my story minus a lot of point by that. Not only the detail part, but also the grammar part. Although this is a creative writing and it didn’t restrict on the format, but it still need to write in correct grammar. You can’t write present tense at first than write past tense in the middle part, this is just not make any sense. These are the place that I will like to work more on in my creative writing.

The Guitar

Jim is a really great guitar player; he started to play guitar since he was four. His dream is one day he can have his own musical company.

After Jim grew up, he had a girlfriend called Annie. They loved each other so much and they always helped each other when they have problem. Annie like to listen to Jim playing guitar, she think the moment he play guitar was so handsome. Jim had a friend called Sam, they knew each other when they were in high school. Sam will ask Jim to play music together when they have free time, and Sam always like to help Jim to improve his guitar skill, so Jim really think Sam was his best friends. However, Annie didn't like Sam so much because she thinks the only reason being nice to Jim is to get benefit from Jim, but Jim always said it is because Jim is his friend, and he believe that Jim will never betray him.

One day, Sam came to ask Jim about having their own music company, which was both of their dream for long time already. Jim was very excited about this because he finally can reached his dream, but Jim thought that maybe he should make sure Annie agree first. He ran back to the apartment where they live together and Annie was cooking dinner. Jim asked Annie ‘’What did you think about Sam's idea?’’  Annie thought for a second, and asked Jim ‘’Did he talk anything about the money?’’ Jim tell her ‘’It is about 6,000,000 dollars, but I only need to paid 3,000,000. Sam will help me to paid rest of the money.’’ Annie said ‘’This is all the money you have and you want to spend it on the music company?’’ Jim said ‘’Of course! because it was my dream since I was small and now I finally can have a chance to create my own music company!’’ Annie told Jim that ‘’Sam probably just want to took your money and leave far away from here’’, but Jim didn't care because he believe that Sam won't do this to him.

After a selience, Annie said ‘’If you want need to do that, I think our relationship should stop right here, because I don’t think I will be happy with a person who didn’t want to listen to me.’’ Jim became angry and said ‘’Who cares! I don't want to stay with you anymore, get out of my house!’’  After that, he just ran out the apartment, and told Sam that he will send the money to his account later.

Jim didn't went back the apartment whole night because he was still angry about why Annie couldn’t understand what he want to do, he just want to make his dream come true. After few hours, Jim didn't care this anymore, because he think now he can finally have his own music company.

The next day, he went to Sam’s house to talk about the company. When he got there, he couldn’t find Sam in his house. Jim went to ask his neighbor, and they said ‘’ He already move away to other place yesterday’’ Jim was shocked by knowing this things and try to called Sam, but he didn’t pick up the cellphone. Now Jim relized that Sam had betrayed him, he took all of his money and left away.

He went back to his apartment immediately and try to asked for Annies’ help, but when he got home, no one was at the home either. Jim tried to find some clues about where Annie could go, then he saw a letter on the table and with few sentence on it

" Dear Jim

  After you leave, I think a lot wiht what you said.

  Maybe you are right, make people’s dream come true is not a bad idea.

  Seems like you know what you are doing and I believe you won’t be regret with what     

  dicision you make.

   So I decide to leave and wish you can be success with your music company with Sam,

  and last thing I want to say is         I Love You!                                                        Annie" After read the letter, Jim realize that everythin Annie said was right. He start to regret that why he didn't listen to Annie before, but it was already too late. At first, because of the guitar, he had Annie as his girlfriend, Sam as his best friend. Now, also because of the guitar, he lost Annie, his best friend, and his money and house. The only thing he had is just an old, broken guitar.

Jim - the guitar player

Annie told Jim that Sam is probably just want his money and leave, but Jim didn't care because he believe that Sam won't do this kind of thing to him.

Annie said if you really need to do that, She thinks it's the time they need to break up, because she thought marry to a dumb husband is not what she wants. Jim became angry and said who cares, I don't want this kind of wife too. Then, he just left the apartment. He told Sam that he agree with his plan and will prepare the money for him.

Jim didn't go back the apartment whole night because he is still angry about why Annie can't understand what he think about, he think this is for their future. No matter what, now Jim didn't care about anymore, he just want  to start his music company. 

After one month, he go to the place where Sam told him the company located at. When he get there, he found out that there is nothing over there, only few trees and some children playing soccer over there. He think this is not making sense so he decide to called Sam but he didn't answer the call. Jim realize that something happen.

He go to the place where Sam lived but his neighbor told him he already move to other place. He can't believes this is true so he went back to the apartment to find Annie but she is not there either. Jim saw a note on the table and it wrote with few words " this is the end" now Jim realize that everything that Annie said is true. He regret that why he didn't listen to Annie before, but all of these are too late. He lost his money, his house, his girlfriend. The only thing he have is a old, broken guitar.

Artwork essay Review

I think I'm doing good on describe what the emotion of the painting that the author want to let the audience know. Before I wrote this essay, I will spend like 5 minutes to watch the painting to see what kind of feeling or the special skill he used for this painting. I think the most difficult part I have is to make the drawing relate to the emotions. Such as how to describe the color yellow relate to happy...etc. In my essay, I think bad grammar is still one of the big problem I have, also the thesis is something that I can work more on. I think my thesis is kind of week that can't show the idea that I want to express. If I have more time, I will defiantly work on my grammar and the thesis statement, and maybe the introduction paragraph so I can give more information about the painting as well. 

The Old Guitarist- The Symbol of the Blue （final）

     Have you ever feel blue? Did you know what is the feeling of blue? Blue is a feeling that make people feel sad, depress, exhaust...etc. It is hard to understand feeling by reading, but Picasso’s painting The Old Guitarist is a really good example for blue. It gives the viewer the feeling of blue by the color he use and he drew the old man with twisted body.

     In The Old Guitarist, Picasso use blue as it base color, whole painting is surrounding by the color blue. This is very important because without the color blue, it is hard to give people the feeling of blue. It is the main character of the whole painting, without it is just like a song but didn’t have solo in it, which will make the song has less attention from the audiences. Here we can know that color blue is one of the major point that make this paint have the feeling of blue.

     Not only the color, I also think the pose of the old man having important relationship with the feeling blue. In the paint, the old man is wearing old and dirty clothes, because it want to make the feeling of alone, poor, no one take care of him. The old man also show in a twist pose, seems like he didn’t have enough power to play the guitar normaly and from his face we can know he is definitely not happy at all. It is just like he is playing guitar with his final power and wait for dead. All of these combine together to let the viewer feel the feeling of the blue.

    I really worship that how he gave people the feeling of the blue by one painting. I think it is hard to make audience have the same feeling as the artist did, because people always say ‘’Probably in our eyes, it is just a piece of trash, but for artist, it probably is the most beautiful works that they ever saw.’’ but Picasso did it, he did let the viewer feel about blue. To do this, he not only use the color and the pose of the old man. It is because while he is drawing, he is in a audience view but not a artist view. He wanted to know if I am an audience, what kind of things will make me feel the feeling of blue. This is why I think this paint is very successful.

The Old Guitarist - The Symbol of the Blue

Blue , always given people a feeling of sad, poor, depression feeling. Some of the artist express the feeling of blue perfectly. Picasso is a really good example of blue artist.

In 1900-1904, people called it is the blue time of Picasso. During that periods of time, Picasso only use single color or dark color to draw his paint. The Old Guitarist is one of the artwork that he done during that time. In the paint, there is an old man who playing a guitar wit

h a really strange pose. Whole painting is base on blue for the color, so it gives people a feeling of depression and sadness.

First thing interesting about this painting is about the old man, just like what I said, he playing the guitar with a strange way by taking it straight down. Then the way that he puts his hand on the guitar is very different than how we take it normally. His hand was twisted and seems like he don't have power to take his guitar, it's just like he is almost die or he already dead. Also the clothes he wear make my attention because it looks like it is very old and broken already, that mean no one is take care of him and he probably already have this kind of life for lots of days already. If this was true, then it is easy to explain why he is so thin.

Not only about the old man, I think the window is also another biggest point of this painting. I will say that is because it is hard to tell weather it is morning or night in the picture, but the color of the sky is blue. That make the painting more blue because of the window. Without the window, it seems like it is only a dying old man who sitting on the ground, but the window give audience think more about the feeling of the blue, which I think is also an important point of the painting.

This paint did gives people the feeling of blue by the color and the picture he draw, that's why Picasso's painting can be the symbol of the blue.

Writing As I am

Writing, is a way to let people express their own thought or feeling to other people. Most of the time I will write is because of the school homework, but when I have free time, I will do some free write to help me relax. Sometimes I just write whatever come on my mind for fun! It could be a story I made of, or it could be something that happen recently around me. I think the world of writing is very beautiful, it can let people feel the beauty without actually see or listen it. You can just read it and feel the world of writing, but different people could have a different kind of feeling when they read the article. Such as two people are reading the same article, one of person probably will think this is a great story, but another person think that how could a story be that horrible. In a few words, a good writing need to have a good reader. When I write I don’t have a specific theme to write on, but I do like to write about fiction. I think fiction is just an another world in your mind, no one else will have the same world unless they read your story. In that world, you can do whatever you want, or can let it happen anything you want. I can totally be the richest man in that world, or I can be the most powerful man in that world. All of these are acceptable because you are the creater of that world. However, some people probably will think that how a non-real world will be fun? I do agree that it is not fun about a non-real world, but the process of making it and sharing your world to other people are the fun part. It is just like making music, me and my friends enjoy when we making a song, and let other people listen to our song. It is hard to explain the feeling, but it will make us feel great and want us to keep making more of the song, just like a power to pushing us forward. Writing world is really amazing because it can help us to let the dream come true. Just like what I said, you can do whatever you want in that world, that mean you can do something you can’t do in the real world. It’s just like given people a second chance to make their life more wonderful. Everyone’s life are not perfect, but through the writing, we can make it better and even more help those people who don’t like their own life. This is why I love the writing world and I always enjoy it!

Song of my life

Bon Jovi - It's My Life

First song that appear in my mind is this song, this song really affect my music life a lot. When I start to learn playing instrument, Bon Jovi is one of my favorite idol. The melody that they made is really good and won't let me tired of listen it, also the lyrics is easy for me to understand during that time. This song is my first song that I performed with my band, and it was successful. However, this is the song that start my music life, and I really love them 

PSY - GANGNAM STYLE 

I will chose this song is because this song help me to make new friends in Cheshire. When I just come to Cheshire, the only people I know are the friends form summer school. One day, some junior asked us to do some performance on the moon festival, and the song is Gangnam Style. We spend lots of time to practice this, almost every single weekend, but I'm really happy because they are my first friends in my high school life. Until now I still can't forget the performance and I really thank this song help me to fit in Cheshire this big family.    

5566 我難過 (I'm Sad)

This is a Chinese song and it is my favorite group when I was small. Each of the members have been act in a TV show called I'm want to be a teacher. It's talking about the life of a group of high school students and a teacher who really understand what students thinking about. But that is not the point, this group is really great and help me to walk through some dark period of my life. Every time when I listen to this song, it will make me to re-quicken and keep going on. Although this group is already broke up, but no matter what, their soul are always in this song.

After the song of my life, I would like to talk about the goals of this class. First goal is just improve my writing skill, it's very simple but it also is the most important one. Second goal is to having over 600 score on my writing part on SAT, this seems like not relate on Writing class, but I want to learn the writing skill from this class and use it in the SAT. Last goal is to happily every day in this class, this I think is the most important, because I believe when people is happy they can learn more stuff when they are unhappy, so I need to make myself everyday and good luck to myself in this entire junior year. Work Hard & Play Hard.
